Series R

Description Series R
The optimum clamping pressure must be determined for each type of workpiece. Variations in pressure are obtained by pushing the rotating center back into the housing. The reading is given by the different color bands. The diagram below shows for each center size the corresponding shaft position for a given axial clamping pressure. Thermal expansion of the workpiece during machining is automatically compensated.

Type R

R-type centers feature a reliable pressure indicator which permits rapid setting and monitoring of the optimum pressure that is selected according to the geometry and stability of the workpiece. Thermal expansion of the workpiece during machining is automatically compensated. R-type centers offer excellent reproducibility and reliability in production.

Type RV

The RV version is designed for turning smalldiameter shafts and for use on CNC machine tools or copying lathes.

Type RK

Thermal expansion of the workpiece during machining is automatically compensated. RK-type centers offer excellent reproducibility and reliability in production. The RK-types have an inner taper that accepts various interchangeable inserts. The inserts can be removed with an ejection tool.
